Grab Online Shop To Go Live In June: Offers Zero Percent Service Fee For The Rest Of 2021

Grab Malaysia is set to launch ‘Grab Online Shop’ in June as part of its GrabFood Small Business Programme. The shop initiative will waive its service fee for small businesses until the end of the year, the e-hailing and food delivery giant said.

It described Grab Online Shop as a way for small GrabFood businesses to obtain their own branded website with a unique URL as an additional sales channel. Unsurprisingly, the online shop will be integrated with GrabPay and GrabRewards, and its deliveries will be fulfilled by Grab’s delivery-partners.

Grab Online Shop will eventually charge a service fee of 10% to food merchants. But as part of the programme and service’s introduction, Grab is setting that rate to 0% for the rest of 2021.

The company said it will also run week-long promotions every month to shine the spotlight on small businesses on GrabFood. Since MCO 3.0 restricts dine-in, it will kick off its ‘GrabFood Small Business Week’ initiative with a free delivery campaign from 25 May to 7 June.

The e-hailing and food delivery giant will additionally hold a series of webinars to give businesses knowledge and insight on how to grow their business further on Grab. Topics apparently include tips to maximise online presence through Grab’s platform tools, use data to attain more online traffic, and enhance online menus.
