Over the course of a month, Xiaomi released several devices, such as its flagship phone, tablet, and foldable handset, in China but didn’t really bring them to the global market, at least not yet. Perhaps in a way to tide us over while waiting for these devices, the company has just released a new smartphone under its POCO sub-brand, called the C95 Pro.
This particular model has already launched in certain regions across the world, namely the EU and Singapore. While the Chinese tech giant has yet to announce the device on the local market, that might change sooner or later because we recently spotted the device listed on SIRIM. Per the database entry, the device actually got its certification a while ago, on 7 August.

With all that said, the POCO C95 Pro comes with a sizable 6.9-inch 1,600 x 720 display. The panel features a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, a peak brightness of 825 nits, and a Gorilla Glass 7i protection. Other details include a side fingerprint sensor, an AI face unlock, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and an IP64 water, splash, and dust resistance.
Under the hood, it comes with a MediaTek Helio G91-Ultra chipset. Xiaomi pairs this with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of eMMC 5.1 storage. The official spec sheet notes that the phone is capable of up to 16GB RAM with memory extension, but this additional RAM will occupy a corresponding amount of ROM storage. It also says users can expand the usual storage with an additional microSD card by up to 2TB.

Powering all of these is a 7,500mAh battery that supports up to 45W turbo charging and 22.5W wired reverse charging. In terms of operating system, the POCO C95 Pro runs on Xiaomi’s own HyperOS 3.
Don’t be deceived by the two lenses on the back; the handset only has a single rear camera, which is a 50MP main sensor. According to the spec sheet, the other lens is listed as an auxiliary lens with no specified function. On the flip side, there’s an 8MP selfie camera tucked away in a punch-hole cutout.

The POCO C95 Pro is available now in selected regions and comes in blue, black and green colourways. The smartphone only comes in two configurations, which are 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB. Priced at SGD289 (~RM921) and SGD339 (~RM1,081), respectively.
As mentioned earlier, there is no announcement for a local launch at the time of writing. However, it is on SIRIM’s database, which means that the device might arrive sooner rather than later. All we have to do now is wait for an official confirmation from the company.
