By now, the Samsung Galaxy S26 FE has been the subject of numerous leaks, revealing pretty much all there is to know about it. All that’s left are the details on pricing and availability, which will be revealed once the smartphone actually debuts. And after much speculation, the South Korean tech giant has finally confirmed the launch date.
The company has announced that it will be hosting the “Galaxy Event August 2026” next week on 27 August 2026 at 8PM local time. As usual, the brand did not explicitly name the product it will release on that day. However, it did say that the device in question is the newest addition to the Galaxy S26 series, removing all doubt regarding its identity.

Although Samsung is playing coy when it comes to the details, the smartphone’s multiple unofficial appearances have left little to the imagination. Most recently, a video on TikTok showed off the handset in action, highlighting its Horizontal Lock feature.
And even before that, the device’s specifications have been circulating online, telling a fairly familiar tale. As per these leaks, the new model will feature a 6.7-inch Full HD+ 120Hz screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,900 nits of peak brightness.

Under the hood, it is said to feature last year’s Exynos 2500 chipset. Aside from that, it will reportedly pack a 4,900mAh battery with 45W charging. On the imaging end, it will apparently come with a 50MP main + 12MP wide-angle + 8MP 3x telephoto zoom camera combo. Other supposed items on the spec sheet include 8GB of RAM, at least 128GB of storage, as well as an IP68 rating.

The Samsung Galaxy S26 FE is expected to be available in three finishes. A price hike may also be in the cards, considering the ongoing memory shortage. Of course, we will only know for sure once the phone officially launches. Fortunately, it won’t be long until then. Those looking to catch the announcement live can head over to either the brand’s official website and YouTube channel on the aforementioned day.
