Not too long ago, Disney renamed its streaming service for the local market to Disney+. Following this change, the company has announced a price hike for its subscription plans. The updated pricing will take effect next month, starting from 18 December 2025.
According to a post on the streaming platform’s helpdesk page, Disney+ Basic Monthly Plan will be priced at RM29.90 per month. This marks a RM5 increase from the current rate of RM24.90 per month.

Meanwhile, the Disney+ Premium Monthly Plan will set you back RM49.90 per month, up from RM39.90 per month. As for the Disney+ Premium Quarterly Plan, it will be priced at RM99.90 every three months.
It is also worth noting that the pricing for the yearly plans remain unchanged, with the Basic plan costing RM214.90 a year. Similarly, the Premium plan will stay the same at RM289.90 a year.
Aside from that, the company explained that existing subscribers will see the price change in their billing cycles on 18 December 2025 or after. If the user’s billing period ends before this date but the payment isn’t successfully processed by the time the change takes effect, then the new pricing will also apply.
Previously, the entertainment giant overhauled its plans for the streaming service, which included changes in subscription rates. This recent development marks the second price increase since the platform’s introduction in Malaysia. That said, this is to be expected, as the brand hiked prices in the US last month.
