MG Motor Malaysia is introducing a special edition of the MG4, known as the 101 Edition, to the local market. This model has been added to the line-up to commemorate the automaker’s 101st anniversary and will make its debut at the MG ‘Dare to Love’ Roadshow in IOI City Mall. The event will be open to the public from 29 October to 2 November 2025.
This model will be based on the MG4’s Lux Extended variant and will be available in Dynamic Red and Holborn Blue shades, featuring a dual-tone interior. The exterior comes with a distinctive Union Jack roof design and an exclusive “One of One” decal. Other than that, the remaining design cues are retained.
To recap, the EV hatchback features a rear-wheel drive (RWD) layout across all variants, each equipped with a single motor. The Lux Extended variant produces 150 kW and 250 Nm of torque. It is powered by a 77 kWh battery, offering a WLTP range of 520 km.
A company rep says the price of this 101 Edition model starts from RM128,888, which matches the revised pricing of the MG4 Lux Extended version. As for the other models, the MG4 Lux is priced at RM108,888, while the MG4 XPower is priced at RM138,888.
All variants come with the Ultimate Ownership Package, offering savings of up to RM10,000, which includes a complimentary 7kW AC wallbox charger or the option to select charging credits.
As mentioned above, the MG4 101 will be showcased during the MG ‘Dare to Love’ Roadshow. The event also would feature the automaker’s other models including the MGS5 EV and the MG Cyberster.
The MGS5 comes a revised pricing as reported earlier and customers who book the MG Cyberster during the event will receive a one-year unlimited charging package with JomCharge featuring AutoCharge functionality, a complimentary 7kW AC wallbox charger, and an exclusive limited-edition MG Cyberster Diecast Model.
