CelcomDigi has officially rebranded Yoodo as Spark, introducing a fresh identity and a simpler lineup of subscription-based mobile plans. The new service, effective today on 28 October 2025, transforms the sub-brand’s shift toward a fully digital, eSIM-only experience with renewed focus on flexibility and transparent pricing.
Like Yoodo before it, Spark operates on a 30-day active cycle, followed by a 60-day grace period where users can still receive calls and SMS but lose outgoing call and data functions. However, where its predecessor offered customisable mix-and-match plans, the latter focuses on fixed, data-rich subscriptions that prioritise convenience and transparency.

Spark differentiates itself through three key features: instant digital activation with no physical SIM cards, full flexibility to pause, boost, or resume plans anytime, and transparent pricing where users only pay for what they need. Upon registration, users can activate their eSIM instantly and start using their line within minutes, all without visiting a physical store.
Spark offers three fixed plans, Mini, Standard and Plus, which users can manage entirely through its app. It prices the Mini plan at RM15 per month for 3GB of 4G data, while the Standard plan costs RM25 and includes 40GB of 4G/5G data with 100 voice minutes. The top-tier Plus plan provides 200GB of 4G/5G data and 100 voice minutes for RM65. Each plan stays valid for 30 days and renews automatically through the user’s linked payment method.

For additional flexibility, Spark offers Booster add-ons for high-speed data, voice minutes, or SMS that users can purchase anytime through the app. These do not auto-renew and share the same validity period as the active plan. Data boosters range from RM1 for 1GB to RM30 for 100GB, while voice and SMS options start from RM1 for 30 minutes or 50 messages. Spark supports up to five active eSIM lines under a single account, and users can manage multiple lines directly within its official app.
However, there are some caveats to take note of. For now, Spark eSIMs do not support smartwatch devices, and users cannot transfer ownership between accounts. Number port-in is also not yet available, therefore new users must register for a brand-new Spark number to get started.

According to CelcomDigi, existing Yoodo users will continue to have their current plans automatically renewed, though the option to customise or modify those older plans is no longer available. The rebranded app is now rolling out via the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, with availability also listed on the Huawei AppGallery.
For new users, download and launch the Spark app and then register a new account using your email address. Next, choose between the three aforementioned plans and then activate it directly via the app. Users primarily make payments through registered credit or debit cards, but they can also complete one-time purchases using eWallets such as Boost, Touch ’n Go, GrabPay, and Alipay, as well as online banking (FPX) or PayPal.
To commemorate its launch, CelcomDigi is offering an RM5 monthly discount on all Spark Mini, Standard and Plus plans until 31 December 2025. Users can redeem this offer by applying a Spark Voucher during payment, with the discount automatically applied for up to 12 consecutive months as long as auto-renewal remains active. The voucher is valid for one redemption per account.
For users needing assistance, Spark offers in-app support through live chat or ticket submission. The Help section within the Spark app serves as the primary contact point for all troubleshooting and customer service enquiries.
