A week ago, Redmagic teased its latest gaming smartphones, highlighting a distinctive design with a water-cooling ring. On Friday, the nubia sub-brand officially released the Redmagic 11 Pro series in China. The lineup includes a Pro model and a fancier Pro+ variant. Both of the phones largely share the same specifications, with differences in terms of battery and storage configurations.
Starting with the display, the two devices feature a 6.85-inch BOE X10 AMOLED screen with a 1.5K resolution, as well as a 144Hz refresh rate. The phones boast a screen-to-body ratio of 95.3%, with slim bezels measuring 1.25mm. Beyond that, they come with 520Hz dual touch shoulder triggers, an under-display ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The phones are also rated IPX8 for water resistance.

Under the hood, the devices pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, paired with Redmagic’s R4 gaming chip. For memory, the Pro version offers a choice between 12GB+256GB and 16GB+512GB. Meanwhile, the Pro+ gets up to 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.
As mentioned earlier, battery is also where the two variants differ. The Pro is equipped with a 8,000mAh battery with 80W wired fast charging. On the other hand, the Pro+ model gets a slightly smaller 7,500mAh battery. However, this battery supports 120W wired fast charging as well as 80W wireless charging.

Of course, the highlight is the hybrid cooling system in the Pro+, which uses both air and fluorinated liquid cooling. The active cooling fan can spin up to 24,000 RPM, according to the brand. For software, both phones run Redmagic OS 11. Other specifications include WiFi 7 and NFC support, as well as an infrared blaster.
For imaging, the devices sport a dual camera setup comprising a 50MP main sensor and a 50MP ultra-wide lens. For the selfie enthusiasts, the phones sport a 16MP front shooter. And as is usual for the brand, this camera is hidden under the display.

The Redmagic 11 Pro comes in Dark Knight and Silver Winged War God colours, and has a starting price of CNY4,999 (~RM2,964). Meanwhile, the Pro+ variant is available in three colour options. This includes a plain Dark Knight, which is only for the 12GB+256GB configuration. This model retails for CNY5,699 (~RM3,379).
The Transparent Silver Wing and Transparent Dark Knight options have a see-through back panel that shows off the cooling ring. These models have a starting price of CNY6,499 (~RM3,853) for 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

A global release for the Redmagic 11 Pro lineup is in the cards, as the brand has begun teasing the launch in some of its markets. That said, Malaysia is not among them, so it may be a while before the company brings the phones over here, if at all.
