Just earlier this week, we’ve seen claims of Apple unveiling its new M5 chip, and refreshing hardware with the base model of said chip. The claim turns out to be accurate after all, as the iPad Pro has been given such a refresh. The new chip, according to the bitten fruit brand, means an AI performance boost of 3.5x.
Beyond just the M5 chip, the refresh also means other upgrades as well. Part of that means getting the N1 chip for WiFi7 as well and Bluetooth 6. The cellular variant also gets the C1X chip that we first saw in the iPhone Air.

Rounding it out is an upgraded charging speed of the new iPad Pro. Apple says that it can now get half a tank in around 30 minutes with a 70W charger plugged in. Beyond that, most of the tablet is familiar. This includes on the outside, looking identical to its M4 counterpart.
On one hand, Apple has not yet made the new iPad Pro available for the local market. Instead, you get the prompt to check back later. That being said, their prices have been revealed, with the 11-inch model starting at 256GB for RM4,499. The larger 13-incher starts from RM5,799 instead. Cellular versions gets a RM900 premium across size and storage options.
