ASUS Malaysia today announced the new ProArt P16 laptops, a creator laptop design with video professionals in mind. The series comes in two variants, the H7606WP and the H7606WX, with the latter to be released at a later date.

Starting with the internals, the ProArt P16 H7606WP features an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU with 8GB of GDDR7, and an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor. These two combined allow the machine to deliver “unparalleled AI performance”. Storage options include a 2TB M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0, with 32GB LPDDR5X RAM. It also supports the 10-bit 4:2:2 colour, allowing for fluid mult-track 4K/8K playback, faster export speeds, and improved stability under intense workloads.

On the display side of things, the ProArt P16 H7606WP features the ASUS Lumina Pro OLED display. According to the official press release, the screen is said to be the industry’s most advanced OLED display that has been especially made for creators. It boasts improved colour accuracy, clearer detail, smoother motion playback, and even built-in eye care.

The ProArt P16 H7606WP offers a 16.0″, 4K (3840 x 2400) ASUS Lumina OLED display. It has a 16:10 aspect ratio, 100% DCI-P3  colour gamut, up to 500 nits peak brightness, 60Hz refresh rate, 0.2ms response time, and a glossy display, to name a few. It also claims to have a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio and certified VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500.

For connectivity, the ASUS laptop has a Wi-Fi 7 and a Bluetooth 5.4 wireless card. For ports, the ProArt P16 H7606WP is equipped with two Type-C ports; one has USB4 support and the other has USB3 support. The laptop also has two USB3 Type-A, one HDMI 2.1, an SD Express 7.0 card reader, a 3.5mm combo audio jack, and a DC-in jack.

ASUS primarily advertises the ProArt P16 H7606WP as an on-the-go workstation; as such, it features a redesigned chassis that measures 14.9mm thin and weighs no more than 1.85kg. Despite its slim frame, it still features a vapour chamber and a Tri-fan technology to keep the machine cool.

The ProArt P16 H7606WX shares almost all of the listed features with a few notable upgrades. Internally, it has an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU with 24GB of GDDR7, 4TB M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0, and 64GB LPDDR5X. For the display, it has a peak brightness of 1,600 nits, VESA DisplayHDR™ True Black 1000 certified; 120Hz refresh rate with VRR technology, and an anti-reflective coating. It is also worth mentioning that this variant is still only marginally heavier compared to the base model, weighing only 1.95kg.

The ASUS ProArt P16 H7606WP is now available in Malaysia and is priced at RM12,999. On the other hand, the ASUS ProArt P16 H7606WX is priced at RM19,999 but will only be available from 13 October onwards. You can purchase the laptop now via ASUS’ official webstore and authorised distributors.
