Devialet officially launched the Phantom Ultimate in Malaysia today. The wireless home entertainment speaker serves as the brand’s latest addition to the Phantom lineup, and even goes so far as to describe it as the “pinnacle of audio engineering”.
One of its bragging points is the ability to output lows at 14Hz, along with something called Heart Bass Implosion. That’s basically just a fancy name for the woofers firing directly towards each other, which is also what allows it to output bass levels at 14Hz. Speaking of which, the speaker comes with one aluminium tweeter dome, a medium aluminium dome, and dual Woofer ABS domes.
At the same time, the Phantom Ultimate Analog Digital Hybrid (ADH) technology allows the wireless speaker to deliver crystal clear frequencies of up to 35kHz. In terms of connectivity, the speaker supports a wide array of apps. Besides Bluetooth 5.3, it also supports Google Cast, AirPlay, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, UPnP, and Roon Ready.
Another highlight of the Phantom Ultimate is the sheer power it can output. At full blast, the speaker is able to pull 1100W from the wall.
Devialet has two variations of the Phantom Ultimate, 108dB and 98dB, and both SKUs are already available. For those eyeing the 98dB model, pricing starts at RM8,090 for the Pearl White and Deep Forest, while the Opéra De Paris colourway costs RM9,990. For those who want the 108dB, that’ll cost a lot more, starting from RM17,990, while the Opéra De Paris version retails at RM20,990.
