Mazda has launched the EZ-60, an electric SUV in China, following its unveiling at Auto Shanghai back in April this year. As reported previously, this launch marks the second model developed with Mazda’s Chinese partner, Changan, and the vehicle itself is expected to enter the global market in 2026 under a different name: the Mazda CX-6e.
Design-wise, the EZ-60 features an illuminated blanked-off grille that connects slim daytime running lights, while the main headlights are positioned beneath an X-shaped front bumper. At the rear, a sleek taillight and a roof spoiler compliment the clean lines. Additional design highlights include flush pop-out door handles and two-tone, petal-like alloy wheels.

Inside, the cabin is dominated by a 26.45-inch 5K floating infotainment screen and a 50-inch augmented reality head-up display (AR-HUD), which customers can also upgrade the system to a 100-inch 3D-HUD. The interior is further enhanced by ‘zero-gravity’ front seats offering heating, ventilation, and massage functions.
Audio is delivered through a 23-speaker system with Dolby Atmos. Measuring 4,850 mm in length, 1,935 mm in width, and 1,620 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,902 mm, the EZ-60 promises a spacious and comfortable interior.

The Mazda EZ-60 is based on Changan’s EPA architecture and is offered with two powertrains: a pure electric, and a range-extended hybrid. The electric model comes with a rear-mounted 190 kW motor paired with a 77.94 kWh lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) battery, delivering a claimed CLTC range of 600 km.
The hybrid version uses the same motor but is supplemented by a 1.5-litre engine that functions solely as a generator. This variant is equipped with a smaller 31.73 kWh battery, offering a pure electric range of 200 km and a total claimed CLTC range of more than 1,000 km.

As with many of the latest EVs in China, the EZ-60 is fitted with a comprehensive suite of driver-assistance technologies. A network of radars and cameras supports Level 2 autonomous functions such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and automated parking. The system also enables navigation-assisted driving on both highways and city.
The price of the Mazda EZ-60 in China starts at CNY 119,900 (approximately RM70,943). As mentioned earlier, the model is expected to enter global markets, which may include Malaysia.
