Have you ever thought “I love the convenience of modern smartphones, but I just miss the feeling of an old handset in my hands”? Me neither, but someone clearly has. Singaporean lifestyle distributor brand ante has announced that it now carries the Native Union POP Phone as part of the latter’s 15th anniversary. And the accessory in question is simply a landline handset that you can plug to your phone via USB-C. Or indeed your PC, if that’s what you prefer.
In its press release, ante describes it as “encouraging genuine conversation with crystal-clear audio and natural microphone performance”. The company goes on to say that it’s “a refreshing alternative to endless scrolling”, which is a questionable claim at best. But it doesn’t stop there, as the accessory is also described as “cutting mobile radiation exposure by up to 99%”. I’ll leave you to your own set of choice words as a response to that sentence.

Beyond the handset, ante also announced the availability of the ARC Pulse cases for the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max. The company has not provided an image of what the case looks like in front. From the back it looks like it was made to protect the vulnerable cliffs of the iPhone 17 Pro’s plateau. Y’know, the one that’s prone to having its paint chipped off.
ante says that the Native Union POP Phone is available in eight colours. These are Alarm Red, Black, Slate Green, Sand Stone, Candy, Lemon, Lilac, and Pine. All of them are priced at Rm149. The ARC Pulse case on the other hand, come in Matte Black, Polished Silver, Graphite, and Rose Bronze, with prices ranging from RM359 to RM559. Then there’s the premium variant called Titanium Onyx Black costing RM1,599. Both products in all of their colourways are exclusive to SEIBU TRX.
