BMW may have unintentionally given a glimpse of a future model, which looks like a concept of an electric sedan. The car made an appearance via the automaker’s official German page, but merely as a short glimpse in an animated video which showcases the driver-assistance features of the brand-new BMW iX3 SUV.
From the design of the car, it seems like the concept car could be from the Neue Klasse line-up. There is also the possibility that the car in the animated video was created solely for the video and was not intended to provide an ‘Easter Egg’ of an upcoming model. That being said, ArenaEV pointed out that the side mirror design on the concept car suggests otherwise.

More specifically, while most futuristic concepts tend to showcase sleek designs with tiny cameras or even no mirrors at all, this mysterious sedan stands out by featuring traditional, production-style side mirrors. It is a curious choice for a vehicle that might otherwise be dismissed as a pure design study, fuelling speculation that the model is closer to production reality than BMW is suggesting.
The styling itself offers a refined preview of BMW’s next design language. The signature kidney grille has been reimagined in a slimmer, more streamlined form, paired with sharp, horizontal LED headlights. The rest of the body emphasises simplicity, with smooth contours and flush-fitting door handles.

As of now, the new iX3 is the first model launched under the Neue Klasse line-up, while another confirmed model is a sedan that is set to revive the i3 nameplate. However, according to ArenaEV, the car featured in the animation video does not align with the upcoming i3. Instead, it was pointed to the next-generation BMW i4, since its proportions fit well with the sporty and fastback profile of the car.

Ultimately, while there’s a lot that can be speculated upon based on the animation, BMW has not commented on the concept car other than showcasing it in the animated video. Nevertheless, the intrigue has done its job by capturing the attention of the people.
