One of the flaws of the Nintendo Switch 2 is that, despite having a bigger 5,200mAh battery, it still doesn’t provide the endurance owners of the console want. So, modder and Chinese YouTuber Naga took matters into their own hands and swapped out the battery for a bigger 8,000mAh unit.
Now, if it wasn’t obvious, modding any console instantly voids their warranty. That aside, it’s fair to say that the activity wasn’t the most egregious action that’s been conducted and by comparison to the wilder actions of the modding community, replacing the original battery with a bigger, third-party model is rather tame.

Some modifications to the console’s chassis were inevitable; Naga had to remove a part of Switch 2’s frame in order to fit the new battery in, much to the surprise of his viewers.
Naga’s exercise yielded an additional hour of gameplay. Specifically, the new 8,000mAh battery allowed him to play the Switch 2 version of Cyberpunk 2077 for approximately 3.5 hours, up to two hours and 18 minutes. Beyond that, Naga didn’t really post any further details on any other games.

At the end of the day, swapping out the battery of the Switch 2 for an additional hour feels a little excessive, especially when a large, fast-charging power bank will more than suffice.
