Samsung has limited the charging rates of its phones to 25W, with the occasional Ultra model being allowed 45W charging. It’s been years since the stagnation, and it looks it’s staying that way for one more year.
Regarding the Pro and Edge models, serial leakster @UniverseIce says that they will retain their 25W charging speeds. Which is business as usual for the company, but with more and more phones having much higher charging rates, it can be a bit of a downer.

Separately, SammyGuru reports that the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra has been spotted in Chinese regulatory filings. There, the phone is listed as having 45W charging. It’s not being explicitly laid out, but you can come to those conclusions if you did the math. We occasionally see such exceptions, but it’s still the highest the company has done in almost a decade.
On one hand, there’s still enough time for things to change between now and then. Then being the first Galaxy Unpacked event of next year, that is. But then again, It’s been a consistent item in the Samsung flagship spec sheet, so it’s probably not something to hold your breath for.
