The Charmera is Kodak‘s new mini digital camera designed in the shape of a keychain. Despite its size, this adorable camera is actually fully functional and is available in an assortment of colours.
The catch? It’s a blindbox release.

Weighing only 30g and measuring 2.3×1×0.8 inches in diameter, the new Kodak Charmera is made entirely from plastic and is small enough to hang on a bag or belt using the clip provided. Impressively, it is also equipped with an optical viewfinder, and small LCD screen on the back for easy previewing of images.
Through a 1/4-inch sensor, the Charmera can record still images with a resolution of 1.3MP and 1440 x 108 px videos at a rate of 30 frames per second in AVI format. All of these are saved to a microSD card that’s sold separately. This camera is equipped with a built-in battery that can be recharged via a USB-C connection.

Users can also choose from several types of filters available. These include black and white, warm or cool tones, a retro-esque two-tone finish, and more.

The new Kodak Charmera isn’t officially available in Malaysia yet, but those interested will be glad to know at least two local retailers have already listed the miniature snapper. A search on Google shows N4 Camera Store is selling a box for RM188, whereas a carton of seven is going for RM1,128. Meanwhile, YL Camera is currently accepting pre-orders for individual Charmera blind boxes at RM169 each via its official website. For your reference, the device is priced in the US at US$29.99 (~RM126) each, or at US$179.94 (~RM758) for the whole set.
