If you’re in the dark, Atari very recently launched its own gaming handheld, the Gamestation Go. Unlike the more powerful rivals on the market, though, this gaming handheld is built to be retro, both in style and the games that come preloaded on it.
Made in collaboration with My Arcade, the Gamestation Go sports a 7-inch Full colour display with SmartGlow technology for intuitive gameplay; integrated paddle, trackball, and keypad; built-in Wi-Fi for OTA updates; a rechargeable battery that provides up to five hours of playtime, and more than 200 video games preloaded.

“The integrated paddle, d-pad, trak-ball, numeric keypad, bumpers, and classic gamepad buttons (A,B,X,Y) allow you to play every game in the collection with the controls it was designed for. “SmartGlow” technology highlights what controls work best with each game. The 7-inch high-resolution display, game save options, and WiFi connectivity upgrade the experience for modern gamers. Play on the big screen with HDMI output and USB-C ports to attach external controllers. Also includes a pop-out stand and rechargeable battery with 4-5 hours of play time.”
The list of video games includes Atari Recharged Series, Balls of Steel, Pac-Man, Breakout, and Berzerk, to name a few.

However, retro comes at a price. With the Gamestation Go, that price comes at RM770.20, based on the conversion on the official Atari product page. The good news, though, is that the brand does appear to ship to Malaysia, making it much easier for nostalgic gamers here to get their fix.
