Acer has announced a slew of products at IFA 2025, including monitors and projectors. Alongside these items, the company unveiled its newest gaming peripheral, the Predator Aethon 550 TKL keyboard. The wireless mechanical keyboard is designed for gamers who value accuracy and adaptability.
As you can probably guess from the name, the keyboard sports an 80% tenkeyless layout for a compact, space-saving design. Of course, no gaming accessory is complete without the RGB aesthetic. The Predator Aethon 550TKL comes with per-key RGB lighting, which can be fully personalised via the dedicated Predator QuarterMaster software. Moreover, it is compatible with Windows Dynamic Lighting.
Aside from that, the keyboard features hot-swappable mechanical switches in blue and red. Additionally, the WASD keycaps are interchangeable, allowing for fast and flexible customisation that matches the user’s preferences.
Another highlight of the Predator Aethon 550 TKL is its tri-mode technology, which offers three connectivity options. The user can swap between Bluetooth-enabled, 2.4 GHz, and even wired connections, allowing for seamless switching across devices.

As for battery life, Acer claims that the battery offers up to 150 hours of use on a single charge. However, this is with the lights turned off. Other features include a 1.6m detachable USB-C cable, N-key rollover, as well as a polling rate of 1,000Hz.
According to the company, the keyboard will be available this month in North America and EMEA for US$129 (~RM545) and EUR129 (~RM635) respectively. For now, we have no confirmation on whether it will making its way to our shores.
