The US government under the Trump administration said that it is reviewing all 55 million US visa holders for deportable violations. According to a statement to The Associated Press, the US State Department says all visa holders including tourists are subject to “continuous vetting”.
That phrase suggests that those who have already be granted their visas may find it suddenly revoked. This also applies to visa holders that are not in the States, who will have said visa revoked. Those in the States will also be subject to deportation, naturally.

According to the report, government officials acknowledge that a continuous vetting process is time consuming. In response, associate director of US immigration policy at the Migration Policy Institute Julia Gelatt questioned the point on spending resources on people who may have left and will never return to the US.
Also announced was the stop on worker visas for commercial truck drivers, effective immediately. This comes from a post on X by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who says “the increasing number of foreign drivers operating large tractor-trailer trucks on U.S. roads is endangering American lives and undercutting the livelihoods of American truckers”.
This is following the pause on student visa processing back in May. At the time, the move was said to be part of preparations for intensified social media screening. This continuous vetting of US via holders may involve something similar.
