e-Hailing platform Bolt has officially launched Bolt Business in Malaysia yesterday, introducing a digital solution to help companies manage employee travel more efficiently. The service is free to join and is aimed at businesses of all sizes, offering a centralised ride management dashboard, automated reporting tools, and integrations with third-party finance platforms.
“We built Bolt Business to make life easier for both companies and their employees,” said Bolt Malaysia’s General Manager, Afzan Lutfi. “With this launch, we’re giving them a smarter, more transparent way to manage travel, while creating more earning opportunities for local driver-partners.”
Through the platform’s dashboard, administrators can set ride limits, assign cost centres, approve destinations, and track usage in real time. Bookings can be made up to 90 days in advance, while the system can also generate discount codes for employees or external guests.
Safety-wise, in-app features include an emergency assist button, audio trip recording, GPS tracking, and route monitoring to flag anomalies such as deviations or unusual stops. Afzan also assured that all drivers hold valid licences and permits, have undergone background checks, and receive periodic re-evaluations. Additionally, Bolt Business is supported by 24/7 customer service and dedicated account managers at no additional cost.

During a Q&A session, Afzan revealed that Bolt is eyeing a nationwide rollout in both Peninsular and East Malaysia. He noted that the platform has received a lot of interest from drivers and passengers in other states, but its main focus is the Klang Valley region for now.
