Google is reportedly facing delays in the rollout of several new devices scheduled to debut at its upcoming “Made by Google” event on 20 August 2025. According to a report by German publication WinFuture.de, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, Pixel Watch 4 and Pixel Buds 2a will not be available for purchase immediately after the launch.
Sources familiar with the matter told the publication that although these products will be unveiled alongside the rest of the Pixel 10 series later this month, their availability has been pushed back due to unresolved supply chain issues. While the main smartphone line-up, namely the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL, are still on track to hit shelves starting 28 August, the three other products mentioned earlier are expected to arrive much later.

It is claimed that Google is targeting 9 October 2025 as the revised release date for the delayed products, which is two weeks later than originally planned. It’s not yet confirmed what specifically is causing the bottleneck, but supply constraints linked to new components are suspected.

The Pixel 10 Pro Fold, for instance, is said to introduce a completely new display and hinge mechanism, along with an IP68 dust and water resistance rating and support for the newer Qi2 wireless charging standard. Meanwhile, the Pixel Watch 4 is rumoured to feature internal hardware upgrades and a reworked charging system, both of which could have contributed to the delay. The reason behind the setback for the Pixel Buds 2a, however, remains unclear at this time.
