The Federal Land Development Authority (Felda) has launched a mobile app for the use of settlers. It’s simply called MyFelda, and it’s made with the goal of enhancing governance, transparency and inclusivity within the settler community.
But what does it actually do? For settlers, it primarily serves as a hub for reliable, up-to-date info. This means no more need to visit the Felda office personally to get things like income statements or account details. Even things like plantation information and current yield data will be accessible, alongside financial statements and loan records.
Then for heirs of land owners, the MyFelda app also helps with resolving income distribution disputes. Felda director of Administration and Information Technology Afzal Hanis Hamid says that since every heir can see the same data, there’s no worry of relying on a third party to be a messenger and withholding information.

MyFelda was made with the help of its own subsidiary, FGV Prodata Systems Bhd. Company CEO Shamsury Jasri Abdul Rahman also says that the app is integrated with the Smart Plantation Management System (SPMS). This means that “we can collect accurate field data ro analyse plant health, identify vacant or affected areas, plan targeted fertilisation and disease control activities, as well as improve overall operational efficiency”.
Afzal Hanis also says that the MyFelda app will continue to undergo improvements based on user feedback. And on that note, Those who would be able to make use of the app can get it from Apple App Store and Google Play Store, as well as the Huawei AppGallery.
