Google has officially announced the date for this year’s Made by Google event, which is when it will be unveiling the upcoming Pixel 10 series. And yes, it is exactly as the rumours say. The company will be hosting the event in New York City on 20 August at 1PM ET, which translates to 1AM the following day for us.
Naturally, the company is expected to officially introduce its Pixel 10 lineup, which has been the subject of more than just a handful of leaks and rumours. The base model was recently glimpsed on an online marketplace, showing the addition of a telephoto lens. Aside from that, the specifications for the Pro, Pro XL, and Pro Fold variants were leaked.

While the smartphones are likely to be the stars of the show, the Pixel Watch 4 will probably be announced as well. Compared to the Pixel lineup, not a lot has been said about the smartwatch, but there has been mention of an upgraded battery for both the 41mm and 45mm models, although Google will reportedly use the same processor as the Pixel Watch 3.
Details on the company’s plans for its Pixel Buds are even more scarce, but it is thought that a more budget-friendly variant is in the works. The so-called “Pixel Buds 2a” will supposedly come in four colour options: Hazel, Strawberry, Iris, and Fog Light.
Of course, this information does not originate from any official source as far as one can tell, so we’ll just have to wait until the event rolls around to find out if any of it is accurate. Google will likely stream the keynote on its YouTube channel, as it has done in the previous years.
