The Italian hypercar marque, Lamborghini just unveiled its Temerario to the Malaysian market. This model marks the brand’s second hybrid model in the automaker’s High Performance Electrified Vehicle (HPEV) range, following the Revuelto.
The Temerario, although being a hybrid, still features the iconic Lamborghini silhouette with its lines, short and compact overhangs, and the shark nose. However, the hexagon-themed design element separates the Temerario from the other models.
The hexagon theme can be found on the main bodywork, the side intakes, daytime running lights (DRL), and the taillights. As for the headlights, they are sharper and thinner while incorporating air channels below them for aerodynamics. Also, the DRL has integrated radar sensors and an air tunnel.
At the rear, the hexagon theme is reflected through the taillights and the iconic exhaust pipes. The wheels are offered in 20-inch at the front and 21-inch at the rear. Finally, the Temerario is launched in two colours: Blu Marinus (blue) and Verde Mercurius (green).
Inside, the interior is covered with carbon, leather, and Corsatex microfibre. Talking about the centre console, it comes with the classic Lamborghini start button. The interior also comes with three screens – an 11-inch instrument cluster, an 8.8-inch vertical screen for infotainment, and an eight-inch screen on the passenger side as well.
Furthermore, according to the automaker, with the new aluminium spaceframe, the interior now has more legroom and headroom compared to its predecessor, with the ability to fit passengers up to 200 centimetres. Besides these design elements, the company also offers a personalisation package known as ‘Alleggerita’.
Through this package, customers can personalise the exterior, with an option of 400 colours. Also, through this package, the automaker claims customers will get a more track-oriented Temerario that is 25 kg lighter and 67 per cent more aerodynamic.
Now, under the bonnet, this beast packs a new twin-turbo V8 hybrid engine, built in-house at Sant’Agata Bolognese. The engine is paired with three electric motors – two on the front axle and one on the rear. Together, they produce 920 PS and 730 Nm, completing the century sprint in 2.7 seconds, with a top speed of 343 km/h.
The Temerario offers five driving modes – Città, Strada, Sport, Corsa, and Corsa Plus. Through the driving modes, the driver can select to drive the car in an all-wheel-drive configuration or in the rear-wheel-drive configuration. Additionally, the car also comes with launch control. All of these settings are accessible through the rotors on the steering wheel.
Finally, coming to the price of the car, it arrives with a hefty price tag of RM1.35 million (before duties and taxes). As for the warranty, the Temerario comes with the standard three-year warranty and an eight-year warranty for the batteries.
