Recently, Xiaomi launched its first fully electric SUV, the YU7, which comes in three variants—excluding the Ultra variant found in the SU7 sedan. However, just weeks after the launch, spy shots of what appears to be the YU7 Ultra were shared on social media platforms by China EV.
As usual, the SUV was camouflaged. Nevertheless, from the pictures shared, it can be seen that the drivetrain is noticeably wider, with extended wheel arches. The wheels also seem to have a different design from the other variants.
At the rear, the SUV features the same full-width LED tail lights. However, it also has larger air vents and a bigger roof spoiler compared to the launched versions. It is also expected to feature many carbon components to reduce weight. Furthermore, if the automaker is following its usual pattern, we can expect the same 24K gold carbon fibre emblem on the Ultra YU7.
As for the interior, no official details have been revealed. However, based on the SU7 Ultra, the YU7 Ultra is expected to feature a race-inspired steering wheel and Alcantara upholstery. Additionally, it may come equipped with Xiaomi’s HyperOS Smart Cabin and the Racetrack Master app, powered by the flagship Snapdragon 8295 chip.
In terms of pricing, it is reported that the car will be priced higher than the Max variant. The SUV is also expected to debut by the end of this year. However, all of this information is based on expectations and speculations drawn from the company’s previous launches.
