Google is expected to announce its Pixel 10 series sometime in August, and naturally there have been rumours and leaks circulating ahead of the launch. This time, real-world images of what seems to be a Pixel 10 prototype have been revealed.
This unofficial glimpse of the device is thanks to a listing on Goofish, a Chinese secondhand marketplace similar to eBay. The listing is for what is described as a “Pixel 10 prototype motherboard” taken from an EVT unit. For those unfamiliar, the acronym stands for Engineering Validation Testing, which is the last stage before general manufacturing.

The seller has included three images in the listing, two of which are of the prototype. The final picture is a close-up of the Tensor G5 motherboard. The prototype in the photos appears to have a DVT designation, or Design Validation Test, rather than the EVT stated by the seller.
Aside from that, though, the phone design seems to match the previously leaked renders. The device features a flat display with thin bezels similar to the Pixel 9 lineup, which should not come as a surprise since Google is apparently going with minimal changes for the Pixel 10 series.

Meanwhile, the rear of the prototype sports the horizontal camera bar housing a triple setup, including a telephoto lens. This does seem to line up with a previous leak regarding the base Pixel 10. And of course, it has already been speculated that the Pixel 10 series will be equipped with a Tensor G5 chipset, so it’s not exactly surprising to see the chip pictured here either.

Of course, a random listing on an auction site is hardly an official source of information, so some scepticism is always warranted. We’ll probably have to wait until Google formally unveils the Pixel 10 lineup. Current rumours point to a 20 August launch date, during which the Pixel Watch 4 is also expected to make an appearance.
