Local custom gaming outfit Illegear has unveiled its latest performance laptop, the Mach 16 Fury, which is now available for pre-order in Malaysia. It is also the first from the brand to feature the new GeForce RTX 5050 GPU, with the option to upgrade to other higher end cards from NVIDIA if desired.
The Illegear Mach 16 Fury features a 16-inch WQXGA 2.5K display with a 180Hz refresh rate, 100% sRGB colour accuracy, and up to 500 nits brightness. Its chassis sports an aluminium top and lightweight plastic body, with subtle rear panel accents and a prominent “16” logo beneath for added design character.
Additionally, the laptop includes a glass-like Mylar touchpad and a tactile keyboard to support both productivity and gaming. Audio is delivered through dual amplified 2W speakers enhanced by Nahimic technology, promising clear and immersive sound.
Under the hood, the Mach 16 Fury is powered by the Intel Core i7-14650HX processor, offering a base power of 55W for enhanced multitasking and responsiveness. As for memory, the laptop also comes with 8GB DDR5 RAM or higher (up to 64GB via two slots) and 500GB NVMe SSD (and up to 4TB via two M.2 slots).
As mentioned earlier, apart from the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050, other available GPU options include the RTX 5060 and RTX 5070, along with 8GB of dedicated VRAM. For thermal performance, the laptop incorporates a redesigned airflow system with phase change thermal materials to maintain stable temperatures during extended use.
Battery-wise, the system runs on an 80Wh battery and includes extensive connectivity options such as dual USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports with support for 20Gbps data transfers, power delivery up to 140W, and display output. Other ports include HDMI 2.1, Mini Display Port 2.1, and USB-A.

The Mach 16 Fury starts at RM4,750 and is expected to arrive in early July. Pre-orders include limited-time perks such as a free 16GB DDR5 RAM upgrade, colour calibration, thermal application, wireless gaming mouse, backpack, keychain, and discounts on other Illegear accessories.
