Maxis has announced that it is launching the new Hotlink Travel SIM, which is designed for both tourists journeying to Malaysia as well as outbound travellers headed for neighbouring countries. The SIM is valid in four countries, which are Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Indonesia.
The travel SIM offers unlimited 5G internet in these countries at 12Mbps, subject to a 100GB Fair Usage Policy. Other perks include unlimited local calls within Malaysia and hotspot allocation. Customers can choose between two packs depending on their travelling needs. The first option is priced at RM35 and is valid for 15 days, while the other costs RM60 and will last 30 days.
For those who wish to extend their usage, Hotlink offers the option to top up with passes priced at RM4, RM12, RM25, and RM45 respectively. The passes can be managed through the Hotlink app, which also offers additional roaming passes as well as over 300 rewards.
The Hotlink Travel SIM is available for purchase from Maxis Centres found at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (Terminal 1 & Terminal 2), Langkawi International Airport, and Penang International Airport. It can also be found at select tourist hubs including KLCC, NU Sentral, and Mahkota Parade. More information on the travel SIM can also be found on the telco’s website.
