Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) platform Atome is planning to launch the Atome Card in Malaysia sometime in the future. While the company has yet to officially announce the card, users can join a waitlist through the app to be notified once the application process is open.
The Atome Card is a BNPL card which can be used for purchases anywhere Visa is accepted, which includes both online and physical stores both in and outside of the country. According to the company, users can choose between interest-free payments for up to 40 days with no downpayment, or Shariah-compliant instalment plans up to 12 months.
Among the perks of the card as advertised by the BNPL provider include the lack of any annual fees, as well as the ability to earn Atome+ points for each purchase made. Additionally, there is no minimum income requirement for using the card, with applications approved instantly.
Those interested in joining the waitlist can click on the “Card” section on the app’s home page, which will lead to a separate page detailing the card’s features. From there, the user only has to click on the button to be added to the waitlist. Of course, the user must make sure they have the latest version of the app to see the page. At the moment, there is no exact launch date for the Atome Card. Atome claims that it will be available in the country soon, but also notes that it is subject to regulatory approval.
