Local custom PC brand Illegear has announced a new gaming laptop in the form of the Neo 14 Air OLED. As the name suggests, what makes it stand out from the rest is the thinness of its profile, though the company highlights the “Neo” in the name to emphasise it being “a bold step forward in laptop innovation”.
Going through its spec sheet, the Illegear Neo 14 Air OLED has a 14-inch 16:10 WUXGA (1,920 x 1,200) OLED screen, as the name suggests. For processors, you have a choice of an Intel Core Ultra 5 225H or Core Ultra 9 285H, which are paired with 16GB or 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM, respectively. Either way, you’re stuck with the integrated Arc 140T integrated GPU.
For storage, you the Illegear Neo 14 Air OLED starts with a 500GB M.2 SSD, but you can push this up to 2TB. Other features include a quad-channel 6-speaker setup, a USB-A 3.2 port, a HDMI 2 port, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, a 3.5mm audio jack and a physical slider switch for turning the webcam on or off. And finally, we get to the Air part of the name, with a 14.5mm thickness and a magnesium alloy chassis helping the entire thing weigh about 1kg.
The Illegear Neo 14 Air OLED has a starting price of RM3,999, with it being available now for pre-order. Place one before 31 May, and you can get freebies worth up to RM935 thrown in, while stocks last anyway. All that being said, the company says that the laptop is only estimated to be shipped out at the end of June. You can find out more by hitting the links below.
