Innodisk Shows Off 128GB On A Single DDR5 RAM Module

But it's obviously not your average DDR5 memory module either.

Back at Computex 2025, we visited the Innodisk booth and was introduced to several AI-based professional solutions. The brand isn’t your typical or average consumer name; it’s more of an industrial-based company, with a focus on enterprise and aerospace industries.

That said, Innodisk did have something interesting on its floor, and that was the single stick of 128GB DDR5 RAM. It’s not every day you see an individual memory stick with such a high capacity, but as you’d expect, this isn’t your average memory module.

While the RAM stick is DDR5, the RAM module is based on Multiplexed Rank DIMM, or MRDIMM. To borrow Rambus’ explanation:

“MRDIMM builds upon the existing DDR5 infrastructure to ease implementation while providing a substantial performance boost. Its architecture is designed to double the data rate per signal pin, significantly enhancing bandwidth while preserving DDR5 signal routing between hosts and memory modules.”

Innodisk lists the speed of the memory module as up to 8,800MT/s, which is fast enough but again, it’s unlikely that the average consumer would see this memory module, let alone be able to casually foot the exorbitant price tag that would likely follow it. On a somewhat related note, the brand did also show off its own second generation CAMM2 memory module but as we’ve mentioned before, it’ll take the initiative of motherboard makers to really push it.
