Per its promise, NVIDIA has officially launched the GeForce RTX 5060, the base model and new entry-level GPU of the current Blackwell architecture. More to the point, it’s arriving for both desktop PCs and laptops.
As a quick primer, the RTX 5060 is based on the 5nm GB206 GPU, made using TSMC’s 4N process node, and run with a 128-bit memory bus. At the very bottom of the ladder, the RTX 5060 features 8GB GDDR7 graphics memory, along with a base and boost clock of 2.28GHz and 2.5GHz, respectively.

Again, and unlike its Ti counterpart, the card only ships out with 8GB graphics memory. Despite the rumours, it’s running on GDDR7 memory, and not GDDR6. Other specs include a base and boost clock of 2.28GHz and 2.5GHz, respectively, a 128-bit memory bus, and 3,840 CUDA cores. As a Blackwell GPU, it gets access to all the features afforded by NVIDIA’s DLSS 4 suite of technologies.
NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 5060 Series will retail at a starting price of US$299 (~RM1,320). As usual, we’ll be putting up a separate article with the local pricing of all RTX 5060 SKUs coming into Malaysia, so stay tuned. On a related note, there won’t be a Founders Edition of the GPU, meaning NVIDIA will be leaving the cooling solution to its board partners.,
