OnePlus is reportedly close to unveiling two new mid-range smartphones, namely the Nord 5 and the Nord CE5. While we have yet to hear anything official from the brand, the upcoming devices have made their way to the SIRIM database, indicating a nearing launch for the Malaysian market.
The Nord 5 and Nord CE5 were both listed on the database yesterday with the model numbers CPH2709 and CPH2719 respectively. Notably, this will be the first non-Lite Nord CE smartphone to be sold in Malaysia since the Nord CE2.
While OnePlus is still keeping details of the two phones under wraps, key specs from both devices were leaked earlier this month. A BIS listing revealed that the Nord CE5 will be equipped with a 1080p 120Hz OLED screen with a MediaTek Dimensity 8350, a much larger 7,100mAh cell with 80W charging, a 50MP main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 16MP selfie snapper.
According to one tipster, the Nord 5 is set to feature a 1.5K 120Hz OLED display with a Dimensity 9400e chipset, and a hefty 7,000mAh battery with support for faster 100W charging. For imaging, it will supposedly be fitted with the same setup as the CE5.
