The vivo V50 already has three variants right now – the base model, a Lite model, and the V50e which has yet to make its way to our shores. But it looks like the company is adding another variant into the growing catalogue of models in a single generation. And it is simply called the V50 Elite Edition.
Shared on the vivo India account on X, the teaser is left vague, describing the device as “elite” and :enigmatic”. It is also claimed to to come “with sound that surrounds and portraits that captivate”, though what that entails beyond the longstanding ZEISS partnership remains unclear.
Elite. Enigmatic. Arriving soon. With sound that surrounds and portraits that captivate — this is more than just a phone. #vivoV50EliteEdition #ZEISSPortraitSoPro pic.twitter.com/XvKWso54W1

In fact, the short clip that accompanies the post shows what looks like the retail box of the device, which looks pretty much like that of the base V50, with the Elite Edition text added at the bottom. What’s clear, on the other hand, is that the vivo V50 Elite Edition will be launching on 15 May at 12PM, which would translate to 2:30PM local time.
With all that in mind, it remains to be seen what sort of difference we should be expecting between the base vivo V50 and the Elite Edition. For what it’s worth, the base model has a 6.77-inch Full HD+ AMOLED 120Hz display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, dual 50MP shooters at the back and another 50MP camera in front.
