Move to iOS, an Apple-made app for Android phones, has received an update, as noted by MacRumors. New features have been added to make the process of switching from an Android phone to an iPhone easier, one of them being faster cabled data transfers between the two phones.
You can either use a USB-C cable or a USB-C to Lightning cable to transfer your data between an iPhone and Android. You can also transfer the data through WiFi. This includes your contact numbers, photos, videos, and WhatsApp content. Voice recordings can also be migrated to the Voice Memos app, or the Files app depending on the file format.
Additionally, you can also transfer your call history and Dual SIM labels from your Android phone to your iPhone as well. An array of Indian languages are now supported too, including Tamil, Telugu, and Punjabi. Tips for using iOS will apparently be displayed during the process as well.
The Move to iOS app can be downloaded from the Google Play Store. In the event you want to switch from an iPhone to an Android phone, you can download Google’s Switch to Android app. However, you’ll have to download most apps one by one, and data stored in iCloud will have to be recovered manually.
