The 2025 Malaysian Auto Show (MAS 2025) is just around the corner, and many automakers are preparing to showcase their cars at this grand event. One of them is Zeekr, which recently revealed through a social media post that its 7X model will be making an appearance during the auto show.
The Zeekr 7X was previously unveiled in Thailand during the Bangkok International Motor Show (BIMS) this year, and has been on sale in China since September last year for CNY229,900 (~RM132,000) and CNY269,900 (~RM156,000). In Malaysia, it is expected to go on sale sometime during the third quarter of 2025.
In terms of design, the Zeekr SUV features the Stargate interactive LCD display, which flows across the front of the car. At the back, it gets the through-type tail lights. Another interesting design feature is the clamshell hood, which flows together with the lines of the car. It also has fully automated frameless doors and a floating roof.
According to the automaker, the Zeekr 7X has a spacious interior with 32 storage compartments. As for the cockpit, there is a 13-inch digital driver’s display and a 16-inch mini-LED infotainment system. The seats of the vehicle are covered with Nappa full-grain leather, which the automaker claims to be 20% more comfortable than normal leather. Other features include ripple ambient lighting, a rear power-reclining sofa, and a massive 616-litre boot space.
The 7X is equipped with either a 100 kWh nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) “Qilin” battery pack or a 75 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) “Golden Brick” battery pack. The former has a range of up to 605 km (CLTC), while the latter has a CLTC range of up to 780 km. Moving on to the powertrain, the car comes in rear-wheel drive (RWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) variants.
The larger capacity NMC battery option can be specified with an additional motor in front for AWD, bringing combined outputs of 646 PS and 710 Nm of torque. The CLTC range is 705 km, and both battery options power the RWD that produces 421 PS and 440 Nm of torque.
With a DC fast charger, the Zeekr 7X can charge from 10–80% in just 10.5 minutes for the LFP batteries, while it takes 15 minutes for the NMC batteries. Furthermore, because of its PMA2+ platform’s 800-volt electrical architecture, the 7X can also provide electricity at up to 60 kW DC or 3.3 kW AC.
