Astro has announced that its Ultra and Ulti boxes will now carry the Amazon Prime Video streaming service on its platforms. The partnership allows astro customers to access the streaming app directly on its Ultra and Ulti platforms, which comes with Amazon’s vast library of original and acquired content.
This comes just a month after the company added the Max streaming service onto its platforms, which is now included for Astro One Epic Pack subscribers. To celebrate the arrival of Prime Video on Astro, all Ultra and Ulti Box customers are getting two months of free access to the streaming app, starting from 24 April until 23 June 2025.
As for how much it will cost as an add-on after this promotion, the company did not disclose this information just yet, and we will likely only know more near the end of the two-month period. So far, every streaming app add-on on Astro is offered at a slightly lower rate than what is directly offered by the services, so it is possible that customers might get a discounted subscription.
Just as a reference, Prime Video currently costs either RM25/month or RM228/year, which translates to RM19/month if you subscribe to the annual plan.
