Multiple U Mobile users on social media have raised concerns about the lack of network connectivity, which apparently have been going on for several hours. According to different posts shared on X, the issue seems to have occurred since yesterday evening.
Although a significant number of users have reported the issue, it appears that not all U Mobile customers are affected. Members of our team subscribed to the telco have not experienced any downtime so far, aside from occasional moments of poor coverage. It’s also worth noting that some social media users suggest the issue may be limited to U Mobile prepaid customers, though this has been contradicted by postpaid users who have reported similar problems.
Hi @MgtIlham, so sorry for the trouble! Kindly try manually selecting the network on your phone by following these steps:
Android: Settings > Wireless & Networks > Mobile Networks > Network Operators > Turn off Select Automatically > Choose U Mobile 4G/U Mobile

Regardless, some have found a solution to restore connectivity to U Mobile’s network. Users who are still affected by this are recommended to go to their phone’s Settings, disable automatic network selection, and choose U Mobile from the list of services. The telco itself has echoed this solution in its replies to user complaints on social media.
For your convenience, here are the step-by-step instructions for both Android and iPhone users:
- Android: Settings > Wireless & Networks > Mobile Networks > Network Operators > Turn off Select Automatically > Choose U Mobile 4G/U Mobile
- iPhone: Settings > Mobile Data/Cellular > Network Selection > Turn off Automatic > Choose U Mobile
