Xiaomi has announced a new wearable in India under its Redmi sub-brand called the Watch Move. While devices under the brand are usually already affordable, the new smartwatch takes it to a whole other price point while still offering impressive specs.
The Watch Move is fitted with a 1.85-inch 450×390 AMOLED display with a 600-nit peak brightness, a standard refresh rate of 60Hz, and an Always-On Display mode. Powering it is a 300mAh battery which gives it an impressive two-week battery life on a single charge with typical use, although turning on AOD lowers to just five days.
While it lacks on-board GPS, it does come with heart rate and blood oxygen level monitors with over 140 sports modes to track your workouts. It also gets a crown button on the side, Bluetooth calling support, and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. On the software side, it ships with HyperOS with over 200 watch faces.
The Redmi Watch Move comes in four colour options and retails at only INR1,999 (~RM102), making it one of the cheapest smartwatches the brand has ever released. Unfortunately, the company has yet to announce any plans for global availability.
