Gaming peripheral brand Razer has a pretty rich inventory when it comes to tie-ins to other brands and IPs, and the latest to be added to the list is Minecraft. This new set consists of a keyboard, a mouse, a mousepad and a gaming headset, making it a pretty complete one for fans of both the brand and the game. Though unfortunately, one of them is not listed on the company’s official site for the local market, but we’ll get to that in a bit.
Starting things off in the list is the Razer BlackWidow V4 Minecraft Edition, which switches the keyboard’s usual black colourway with the game’s signature green, complete with green pixel textures. The keys themselves are also green with prints of the Creeper sprinkled in here and there. Beyond the cosmetic flair, it is otherwise the same keyboard as the base model, with all the same features, bells and whistles.
The special paint does mean that it comes with a RM210 premium on top, making it cost RM869. Switching from the default green switches to the yellow one also now costs RM30 on top when changing keys are free with the base model.
Then we have the Razer Kraken V4 X Minecraft Edition which, despite the X suffix, we found to be surprisingly good. It’s not as completely green as the BlackWidow, but the Creeper print here can be found on the band and on the inside of the ear cups. These cost RM509 rather than RM479.
Moving on to the Razer Cobra Minecraft Edition, which now features the Creeper on the right button, and the pixelated print on where the palm rests. This too comes with a beauty tax, costing RM279, where the standard black costs RM205.
Finally, there’s the Razer Gigantus V2 Minecraft Edition, which comes only in its medium size. This is unfortunately the one that’s not listed in the brand’s local site, but for what it’s worth, this one features the Creeper in the middle, with the game’s name printed up top.
