Two Maybank customers have won RM1 million each through the bank’s Mencari MAE-llionaire campaign, transforming their financial futures.
Muhammad Nur Amin bin Mohd Zaibrib, a 37-year-old father of three from Ipoh, received the life-changing call from Maybank confirming his win. A long-time customer of 17 years, Amin left his job as a Royal Malaysia Air Force officer during the pandemic to be with his family and started a household cleaning goods distribution business. Struggling with financial commitments, he plans to use his winnings to expand his business. Maybank has assigned a relationship manager to provide tailored financial advice.
Mohd Faizul bin Husin, a 50-year-old site engineer from Kuantan, also won RM1 million. The sole breadwinner of a family of seven, Faizul intends to use part of his prize for speech therapy for his eight-year-old autistic son. Having banked with Maybank since his first job, Faizul expressed gratitude for the financial support he has received over the years.
The Mencari MAE-llionaire campaign runs until 28 February 2025, with one more RM1 million prize yet to be awarded. Customers can qualify by making eligible transactions of at least RM30 via the MAE App, including bill payments, DuitNowQR transactions, and contactless ATM withdrawals.
