Infinix has joined a small group of smartphone brands to have come out with affordable foldable phones, alongside the likes of Nubia and Tecno. Unlike the devices from those brands, however, the Zero Flip offers customers a much bigger cover screen that brings it closer to the Xiaomi Mix Flip but at a fraction of the cost.

The Zero Flip sports a 6.9-inch 1080p foldable LTPO AMOLED panel for the inner display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,400 nits. On the outside, the phone gets a 3.64-inch 1056×1066 cover screen with a 120Hz AMOLED panel that covers almost the entire upper half of the device, wrapping around the camera lenses, with Corning Gorilla Glass 2 for protection.

It’s relatively lighter compared to something like the Nubia Flip but it seems to have a higher-quality hinge. Unlike some budget flippable phones, the hinge on the Zero Flip doesn’t squeak, at least not at a noticeable amount. When closed it’s just the tiniest bit thicker than the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6, but it does close entirely flat, which is a huge plus.

While the outer display is bigger than what you would expect from a clamshell foldable, its bezels are quite large and difficult to ignore. However, this might work in the phone’s favour, seeing how the sides of the cover screen are slightly curved, but the actual display cuts off just before the slope, making it a flat display.

When it comes to the optics, the Zero Flip is fitted with a 50MP main camera with OIS and a 50MP ultra-wide lens on the outer screen, which you can use for selfies when the phone is folded. When unfolded, the inner display contains a 50MP snapper with autofocus.

Under the hood, the foldable phone runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 8020 chipset paired with 8GB RAM and 512GB of internal storage. Powering the clamshell is a 4,720mAh battery with support for 70W charging. It also comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and runs on XOS 14.5 based on Android 14.

The Zero Flip is offered in pink and black colour options with a price tag of RM2,999. It can be purchased through the brand’s Shopee and Lazada stores.
