It appears that Xiaomi could be launching the Mix Flip for the Malaysian market tomorrow, at least that is what its recent post on Facebook is hinting at. As you may recall, the phone is the brand’s first ever compact foldable that was announced in China back in July, and later confirmed arriving to global markets sometime within this month.

To recap, the new Xiaomi Mix Flip was revealed to feature a 4-inch AMOLED cover screen with 1392 x 1208 pixel resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 3000 nits peak brightness. Meanwhile, its internal display is a 6.86-inch foldable LTPO AMOLED panel with 1224 x 2912 pixel resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 3000 nits peak brightness. There’s also a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, and a USB-C port.

Inside, the compact foldable packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, along with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. It also comes with a 4,780mAh battery with 67W charging, Android 14 via HyperOS, as well as dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.4 and NFC connectivity.

Situated on the cover screen are two 50MP cameras. The first is utilised as a primary shooter, while the other serves as telephoto that supports up to 2x optical zoom. Housed within the cutout on its internal display, on the other hand, is a 32MP selfie camera.

Of course, the Mix Flip’s local pricing and availability is still not known, provided that it is launching in Malaysia. That said, Xiaomi’s teaser notes that the phone will launch tomorrow in Malaysia on 27 September 2024 at 4pm local time which, by the way, coincides with the local debut of the Xiaomi 14T model. It’s not known whether the brand will introduce its new Mix Fold 4 book-styled foldable smartphone as well
