Sony has announced a special Merdeka deal for its PlayStation 5 (PS5) consoles. As shared by the company via its official Facebook page, both editions of the machine are currently being offered with a discount of RM239 each throughout this promotion, which will run until 1 September 2024.
To be more specific, the disc edition is now available at RM2,260 while the digital-only is priced at RM1,830. Outside of this limited time promo, the PS5 variants retail at RM2,499 and RM2,069 respectively.
It should also be noted that both PS5 consoles offered as part of this Merdeka sale are the newer Slim versions, which are 30% smaller than the original models. They also come with a larger storage capacity of 1TB, while a DualSense controller is included in the package.
Sony says this special deal is available via select local retailers nationwide, but did mention any specific stores. Upon checking, we have noticed that the discount prices have already been applied to its official stores on Shopee and Lazada, though you might have to act fast as stocks appear to be limited.
