CelcomDigi has announced a new partnership with Boost Bank, offering its customers exclusive savings benefits. From now until 6 November 2024, the users on the telco can earn an interest rate of 4% p.a., calculated daily and paid weekly, on a new savings account opened through the digital bank’s app.

For existing CelcomDigi customers, a new Jar dedicated to the telco will appear in the Boost Bank app, provided that you’re already registered to the digital bank. As mentioned earlier, what’s unique about this new addition is its 4% p.a. interest, which is slightly higher than the 3.6% p.a. rate for regular Jar savings. It should be noted that a similar 4% rate is available for non-CelcomDigi owners as well, but only to those who’ve upgraded their accounts to the Platinum President tier and fulfilling certain criterias.

To earn the special CelcomDigi interest rate, new Boost Bank customers must first register through the Boost app, whereas existing ones must link their accounts. Both are also required to spend a minimum of RM20 on CelcomDigi postpaid or prepaid bills each month using the e-wallet app.

In its FAQ page, the telco notes that after unlocking the special jar, users can enjoy the rate during the first and second month. To continue enjoying the rate in subsequent months throughout the promotional period, you will need to complete the transaction criteria in the second month. It further notes that the CelcomDigi Jar will be closed if you don’t spend RM20 at CelcomDigi bills with Boost in a month, and any funds and interest will be transferred to your main account.

Meanwhile, this new partnership is also offering CelcomDigi users with vouchers to redeem a one-time 4% cashback for each successful Boost Bank registration from now until 7 November 2024. To redeem your reward on the Boost app, go to Profile > Redemption Code and enter the promo code CDPREPAID or CDPOSTPAID. The telco notes via its FAQ page that the former is limited to the first 37,500 redemptions, while the latter is limited to the first 18,750. Both are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Once redeemed, you can find your “CelcomDigi Prepaid Wallet” or “CelcomDigi Postpaid Wallet” under “My Partner Wallets” on the app’s homepage. To use your reward, spend a minimum of RM30 in a single transaction to top up Celcom XPAX or Digi prepaid, or spend a minimum of RM60 in a single transaction to pay Celcom or Digi bills via the Boost app.
