The new Sony ZV-E10 II has officially launched in Malaysia today. In case you missed our last report, it is the brand’s latest vlogging-focused APS-C camera with interchangeable lens capability, which also offers up to 4K resolution video recordings.
The camera is a significant upgrade over its predecessor, offering a new 26MP Exmor R CMOS sensor. It relies on electronic stabilisation and retains the reliable autofocus performance that Sony Alphas are known for. On that note, powering the device is the same NP-FZ100 battery that’s commonly featured on the brand’s full-frame cameras, offering a claimed continuous video shooting time of up to 195 minutes.
In terms of video capabilities, the ZV-E10 II can record 4K video at up to 30fps with no crop. However, increasing the frame rate to 60fps introduces a slight 1.1x crop. The camera also includes a cinematic vlog setting that optimises aspect ratio, frame rate, and autofocus transition speed for a more professional look.

Additional features include simplified controls with a touch interface, a Cinematic Vlog mode, and dedicated buttons for Bokeh Mode and Product Showcase. Sony has also enhanced the user experience with a new vertical-oriented interface, as well as improved connectivity options for live streaming and data transfer.
The new ZV-E10 II is offered in Black and White colour options. It is already available for pre-order, priced at RM4,999 for just the body or at RM5,199 when bundled together with the new 16-50mm kit lens. While nationwide availability is slated for August 2024, a Sony Malaysia representative told us that those who’ve already placed their orders for the camera before today will be able to collect their units from the brand starting tomorrow.
