It appears that DJI may be gearing up to launch new action cameras, according to recent leaks. Unlike last year’s release, it is suggested that the brand will release two new models under the supposedly upcoming line-up: a base Osmo Action 5 and a higher-end Osmo Action 5 Pro.
Based on images provided by reliable leakster OsitaLV, the new DJI Osmo Action 5 series is shown to sport a similar design to the preceding model, but featuring an all-new textured body. Additionally, apart from the branding in front, the Pro variant exhibits a red ring around its lens, which is one way to tell the two models apart.
The leaked photos also suggest that the Osmo Action 5 Pro will be equipped with a 1/1.3-inch sensor with f/2.8 aperture and a 155° field of view (FoV). It is unclear whether the base variant will share this, as specifications for either model are still not known at this time.

Unfortunately, OsitaLV did not say when DJI is expected to launch its new action cameras. Given that a promo image is included as part of the leak, there’s a chance that their debut could happen in the very near future.
