Boost Bank, the new digital bank by Axiata and RHB, has announced a new tier for its Savings Jar feature with a higher interest rate of 4% p.a. The tier is called Platinum President with Partner Benefits, and it requires users to fulfil a lot of conditions before unlocking it.
Firstly, you will need to upgrade your account to the Platinum President tier, which you can do by depositing at least RM2,000 and maintaining that amount for a minimum of 25 days every single month. You will also need to link your Boost Bank app with your Boost e-wallet app.
Finally, in order to unlock the partner benefits, you are required to spend at least RM50 at Mydin every month. If you fulfil all these steps, then a “Groceries Jar” will appear on the Jars page of the app within one working day.
The Groceries Jar lets you deposit up to RM25,000 with a 4% p.a. daily interest, with the promo running until 30 September 2024. The promo has a maximum cap of RM50 million in total deposit, so it will be on a first come first served basis.
Keep in mind that there is currently no way to directly spend with Boost Bank as it does not support DuitNow or even have a debit card. To spend money for this promo, you will have to top-up your Boost e-wallet account and use that for purchases in order to qualify.
