Toshiba launched its new 4K TVs late-ish last year, and now, the company has a new product to announce. It’s not a TV this time, but a soundbar. More specifically, the product is called the TS205 TV Mate Soundbar.
Compares to most other soundbars though, the Toshiba TS205 TV Mate Soundbar is a relatively modest one. On its spec sheet it is a 2.0 channel 60W soundbar measuring in at 950 x 66 x 62mm. Connectivity includes a HDMI ARC port, an optical audio port, a USB port, and Bluetooth 4.2.
There’s a remote which comes in the box, as well as cables for both the HDMI and optical ports. Being a 2.0 channel setup, the Toshiba TS205 TV Mate Soundbar doesn’t come with a subwoofer. Though as part of its promotional material, the company mentions that it has three modes that the soundbar can switch between, which include Movie mode, Music Mode and one News mode.
