Tecno has rolled out official teasers of its highly-anticipated Phantom V Flip, which is set to be the company’s first flip phone. As we’ve already seen in previously leaked images, the upcoming foldable will be available in violet and black colour options.
On the design, it seems that both colour options will have a leather finish for the back panel, although it’s unclear if it’s real or fake leather. The black panel will have some lines for a geometric design while the violet model will have a dual-tone finish with a peculiar metallic circle. Additionally, the sides will be packaged in a metal frame.
Nothing else is officially known about the Phantom V Flip but according to rumours and leaks, the phone in its folded position will feature a circular cover display and a thick bezel containing two rear cameras as well as a flash ring. It is expected to sport a 144Hz 1080p display between 6.75 and 6.9 inches.
Internally, the foldable is speculated to contain a MediaTek Dimensity 8050 chipset with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage alongside a 64MP main camera, a 32MP front camera, and a 4,000mAh battery with 66W charging. The Phantom V Flip will be making its debut in Singapore on 22 September, although it’s unconfirmed whether or not it will be coming to Malaysia.
